The Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission is undertaking a review of the Apparatus Assignment (AA) framework under the First Schedule and Second Schedule of the Communications and Multimedia (Spectrum) Regulations 2000. This review aims to ensure that the framework remains relevant in supporting Malaysia’s evolving communications landscape.

This initiative forms part of MCMC’s ongoing efforts to strengthen regulatory frameworks in line with technological advancements, increasing spectrum demand, and the need to facilitate efficient, transparent, and sustainable spectrum use. The objective of this review is to identify areas for refinement and enhancement of the existing framework to better support industry growth, foster innovation, and enable efficient and high-quality service delivery.

Stakeholders are invited to provide their views to support the development of a balanced, forward-looking framework that continues to facilitate industry development while ensuring optimal use of spectrum resources.
