This Public Comment is to obtain comments/inputs on draft of Malaysian Pepper Board (Licensing, Permit and Grading) Regulations.
This regulation was developed by the Working Group with reference to Malaysian Pepper Act 2006. Under the Malaysian Pepper Board Act 2006, public consultation for regulations is basically about good governance. Even if the Act doesnât spell out every detail, the purpose follows standard Malaysian regulatory practice.
Public consultation in drafting licensing, permit and grading regulations under the Malaysian Pepper Board Act 2006 aims to ensure that regulatory requirements are practical, fair and aligned with industry practices, improve the quality and enforceability of regulations, protect industry sustainability, and promote compliance through stakeholder participation. Also to collect concerns and ideas that will ensure the resulting law is practical and workable for both industry players and consumers.
