This Public Comment is to obtain comments/inputs on draft of Malaysian Standard DMS 2282: 7 - Masonry units - Specification - Part 7 : Compressed Earth Masonry Units.

This DMS was developed by Technical Committee on Brick and Block (NSC 04/TC 13).

This DMS specifies the characteristics and performance requirements for masonry units manufactured from compressed earth for which the intended uses are common, facing or exposed masonry units in load bearing or non-load bearing building and civil engineering applications. These units are suitable for all forms of coursed masonry walling, including single leaf, cavity, partition, retaining and external masonry. They can provide fire protection and thermal insulation.
